The Grading System - Last Updated 23/12/2000
I have been VERY strict when grading these CD's. These bootlegs are
graded on Sound Quality Alone. I have not made adjustments for age or equipment
used. No Live bootleg gets 10, the highest is 9.5 and that is very rare. So
think of your "perfect" bootleg, and that is equivalent of my 9.5. Some studio
stuff does not even get a 10. It needs to be perfect quality to get 10. Some
boots which have more than one value e.g. "7-9.5" means the sound fluctuates
from song to song, the lowest value is the worst song, and the highest is the
best song.
Here is a rough guide to my grading system
1 - 4 Abysmal
5 - 6.5 Collectors Only
7 Very Noisy
8 Listenable but is noisy
8.5 Slight noise or too much echo but still very listenable
9 Very slight Noise on Studio Album or Almost perfect Bootleg
9.5 Almost perfect Studio Album, or perfect Live Album
10 Perfect Studio Album
